How do members benefit?

Participation by members in the CCMS seriously enhances confidence and pride and a sense of accomplishment in completing activities and projects, in making new friends, in contributing to the benefit of other members and the community.
Good health is important for quality of life. Through engaging with the Men's Shed, health and wellbeing can be improved and social isolation, loneliness, and depression can be reduced.
A focus on good health is enhanced through health-related information available to members.

What is expected of members?

Becoming a member of a Men’s Shed provides a safe and busy environment where men can benefit in
an atmosphere of old-fashioned mateship. Importantly, there is no pressure.
The CCMS values acceptance of others and their differences, a sense of humour, willingness to participate in the Shed's activities, consideration of each others' needs, fresh ideas, and observance of safe working practices.
Members can find their place with others according to personal interests and abilities. No previous skill set is necessary. There is boundless advice and opportunity available.

How do I become a member?

It takes some courage to just turn up to the Shed uninvited. That's not a problem for us.
You'll find us at the address below on Wednesday and Saturday morning between 9.30 and 12.00. Just come on in and say hello. We'll give you a tour and tell you about the Shed. No obligation! Alternatively, drop us an email to make an initial enquiry.
There is a small annual fee (mainly for insurance) and a membership form to fill out - and that's it!
